In reply to Your Lordship's

Confidential Despatch of the 25th. of last February and

with reference to paragraph 6 of the letter from the

Exchequer and Audit Department No. 1080 of the 11th. of

September, 1909, I have the honour to draw Your Lordship's

attention to enclosure No. 2 (1) of 14th. May, 1909, in my

Despatch No. 171 of the 18th. June, 1909, indicating the

reasons why in the opinion of the Colonial Treasurer and

Postmaster-General, in which I concur, the keeping of this

additional record is necessary.

My desire is that there should be

a full record of all work performed by the Audit Department

in this Colony.
